Very important for me is that I during 6 years had intensive lessons from

Damian Luca, the King of the Panflute himself!

He inspired me to study and to play better every time. I learned many secrets of panflute-playing.

On the following pages I’ll tell more about Damian,

his Romanian panflute-history

and some things more.

Damian uses music-books, but doesn’t look too much into them. He plays (on the panflute and often on the keyboard) and teaches always by heart - from his memory.

We loved the so-called

shock-therapy-lessons:

Playing together as long as possible.

Very intensive and very useful!

The  top-condition (strenght) of my embouchure I got is necessary to play the panflute very well.

I’m Jos Aerts, flute-teacher, and here is

- briefly - my musical curriculum:

In 1971 and 1972 I finished my studies flute (teacher: Koos Verheul) and recorder

(teacher Pieter van Veen) at the Conservatory in Tilburg, The Netherlands.

1971 - 1981 Member of

The Muramatsu Quintet (5 flutes).

Chamber music in different combinations/ensembles.

Then I discovered the Panflute !

In 1986-1988 I was a pupil of Nicolae Pîrvu. And after obtaining my panflute-diplom I started to teach panflute too. Now I teach flute and panflute in

St.-Michielsgestel in the southern part of The Netherlands.

With guitar-player Paul van der Heijden

I form a duo:
