| Om de stoelen erin te krijgen moest ik een stukje van de instap "drempel" wegvijlen. Daarvoor gebruikte ik een decoupeerzaag (grof op maat) en elektrische vijl (precies in vorm). Eerst aftekenen en dan aan het werk. Als je er mee bezig bent hoop je dat het uiteindelijk resultaat naar wens zal zijn want een terugweg is er niet. Het liep als altijd goed af en zelfs aan beide kanten. |
To fit the seats I had to cut away quite a piece of the "sill". I used an electrical saw (rough work) and an electrical file (fine work) for this job. First you have to determine where to cut and what the new lines will look like. When doing the job you hope that the results will satisfy because there isn't really a way back. Well it did work out and it looks great on both sides. |
| Je kunt je voorstellen dat je na zo een klusje helemaal onder het stof zit. Gelukkig heb ik een goede overal en een douche doet de rest. Het was lekker weer dus werkte ik buiten. Op de andere foto is te zien dat de dickeyseat deksel er perfect op past. Er zit een rubber rand omheen die de dickeyseat af moet sluiten voor regenwater. Of dat ook werkt moeten we proef ondervindelijk uitzoeken. |
You can imagine that such a job causes a lot of dust to fly around. I was happy to wear overalls and the shower took care of the rest. As it was a nice warm day I worked outside. The other picture shows the perfect fitting of the dickey seat cover. There is a rubber tubing around it which is supposed to keep rain water out. If this works we will have to find out by trial and error method. |
